Akasha Superfoods Review: Sea Moss Gummies, Capsules and Gels, Prices, Lab Reports and Returns

Akasha Superfoods sells sea moss and other ocean-sourced supplements, including gummies, capsules, liquid gel packets, pearl powder and jellyfish collagen, plus two topical mists. It sells through its own website, an Amazon storefront, TikTok Shop and retail stores. Most products cost $29.99 to $49.99 as a one-time purchase, and subscriptions are advertised at 20 to 25% less.

This review covers the labels, cost per day, posted lab reports, subscription and shipping terms, the 90-day guarantee and who should check with a doctor first. We did not test the products; everything here comes from Akasha's own pages.

At a glance Checked October 2026

Akasha suits shoppers who want sea moss in an easy daily format and like seeing ingredient amounts and a batch lab report before they buy. Product pages list the milligrams of each key ingredient and show a third-party purity report. The guarantee is generous for a first try, but it covers only your first purchase of each product, and only the first shipment of a subscription.

  • Best for: Adults who want sea moss as gummies, capsules or gel packets rather than a jar of raw gel.
  • Typical price: $29.99 to $49.99 one time; about $1.00 to $1.50 a day for most products, but $3.33 a day for Jellyfish Collagen.
  • Shipping: Free on US one-time orders of $49 or more, $5.99 below that; every subscription order ships free.
  • Returns: 90 days from delivery for a refund of the product price on your first purchase of each product; single jars do not need to be sent back.
  • Watch out for: Seaweed ingredients are natural sources of iodine, but the pages we read list no iodine amount; a Jellyfish Collagen box lasts only 15 days.

What Akasha Superfoods sells

The range is small, about a dozen listings when we checked:

  • Sea Moss GLOW Gummies (strawberry lemonade): $34.99 for 60 gummies, a 30-day supply at two a day.
  • GROW Astaxanthin Hair Gummies (pomegranate): $34.99 for 60 gummies, 30 days.
  • Sea Moss Vitality Blend Capsules: $29.99 for 60 capsules, 30 days.
  • Liposomal Sea Moss Gel: $44.99 for 30 single-serve packets.
  • Jellyfish Collagen (lychee lime): $49.99 for 15 packets.
  • Pearl Powder: $34.99 for a 40 g jar, 30 half-teaspoon servings, with a spoon.
  • Topical mists: GROW Nourishing Prebiotic Scalp Mist ($44.99) and Prebiotic Natural Skin Repair Mist ($44.99, sold out when we checked).
  • Bundles and gift cards: GLOW & GROW Bundle ($59.99), GROW Inside & Out Bundle ($64.99), a build-your-own bundle page, and gift cards from $25 to $200.

Shopping categories such as "glowing skin" and "luscious hair" are the brand's marketing claims, which we have not verified. The supplement pages carry the standard notice: "These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease."

Ingredients and serving sizes

Each product page lists its key ingredients with amounts per serving:

  • GLOW Gummies (2 gummies): Irish sea moss 120 mg, pearl powder 65 mg, liposomal vitamin C 90 mg (100% DV), aloe vera 36 mg, Blue Majik (blue spirulina extract) 10 mg and vitamin E at 100% DV; 30 calories and 5 g added sugar. Pectin-based, but the pearl comes from oysters, so it is not vegan.
  • GROW Gummies (2 gummies): AstaZine astaxanthin 8 mg, pumpkin seed extract 100 mg, kelp extract 50 mg, horsetail extract 30 mg, zinc 15 mg (136% DV) and vitamin E 15 mg (100% DV); 5 g added sugar; no biotin.
  • Vitality Blend Capsules (2 capsules): Irish sea moss 500 mg, organic burdock root 500 mg, organic bladderwrack 400 mg and BioPerine black pepper extract 5 mg; vegan capsules.
  • Liposomal Sea Moss Gel (1 packet): organic Irish sea moss 140 mg in a 3,500 mg liposomal gel, with vitamin E at 50% DV. The FAQ says the packets contain no sugar and are sweetened with coconut-derived glycerin.
  • Jellyfish Collagen (1 packet): KollaJell jellyfish collagen complex 500 mg, including 125 mg of Type I, II and V collagen peptides, plus vitamin C at 556% DV and vitamin E at 50% DV. Not suitable for a fish or seafood allergy.
  • Pearl Powder (half teaspoon, 1.3 g): 100% saltwater pearl powder. Contains molluscan shellfish.

A few things are worth noting. The amount of sea moss varies a lot by format: 500 mg in the capsules against 120 to 140 mg in the gummies and gel, so compare milligrams rather than product names. Akasha says sea moss, bladderwrack and kelp are natural sources of iodine, but the pages we read do not state an iodine amount, and the brand advises anyone with a thyroid condition or on thyroid medication to talk to a doctor before starting. The FAQ puts gummy sugar at "around 4g" per serving while the product pages say 5 g, so check the jar. Akasha also says its labels carry a California Prop 65 warning, that its products are for adults 18 and over, and that pregnant or nursing shoppers should ask their doctor first.

Third-party lab reports

Akasha posts a "purity report" on each supplement page. The GLOW Gummies report, from Twin Arbor Labs (report no. 22032, dated April 28, 2026, for a batch best by September 30, 2027), lists 12 tests: lead and cadmium below the 0.052 ppm detection level, total arsenic at 0.085 ppm against a 1.5 ppm limit, mercury not detected, low yeast, mold and bacteria counts, and no E. coli, Salmonella, Staph. aureus or Clostridium found. Similar reports from April and May 2026 are posted for the other supplements.

Two caveats from the page itself: heavy metal limits follow USP <2232> while the microbe limits are Akasha's own specification, and not every method is covered by the lab's ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation. Results apply to the tested batch. The FAQ says products are tested for "purity and potency," but the reports we saw cover contaminants; we did not see measured ingredient amounts.

Prices

One-time prices, with the cost per day at the suggested use:

  • Vitality Blend Capsules: $29.99 (about $1.00 a day)
  • GLOW or GROW Gummies, Pearl Powder: $34.99 (about $1.17 a day)
  • Liposomal Sea Moss Gel: $44.99 (about $1.50 a day)
  • Jellyfish Collagen: $49.99 for 15 days (about $3.33 a day, or roughly $100 for a month at one packet a day)
  • Scalp Mist: $44.99, which the brand says lasts about a month

Product FAQs say one-time buyers save 10% on two units and 15% on three, while subscribers save 20 to 25% and get free US shipping. The three-unit 90-day plans were shown at $78.75 for gummies or pearl powder ($26.25 each), $67.50 for capsules ($22.50 each), $101.25 for gel ($33.75 each) and $112.50 for collagen ($37.50 each).

Subscriptions can be skipped, paused or cancelled in your account or by emailing info@akashasuperfoods.com, with no contract. The refund policy asks you to cancel before the next order is placed, because a renewal that has shipped is not refundable.

Shipping

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days, and the FAQ says delivery takes 3 to 5 business days after dispatch, with no shipping on weekends or holidays. In the US, one-time orders of $49 or more ship free and smaller orders cost $5.99, so a single $34.99 jar comes to $40.98 delivered. Every subscription order ships free. The shipping policy describes only US rates; international shoppers should check costs at checkout.

Returns and the 90-day guarantee

The refund policy is clearer than most, but it has limits:

  • Window: email info@akashasuperfoods.com within 90 days of delivery to get the product price refunded to your original payment method.
  • Scope: it covers your first purchase of each product, one claim per household, and only orders placed on akashasuperfoods.com. Amazon, TikTok Shop and store purchases follow that seller's policy.
  • Subscriptions: only the first shipment is covered.
  • Sending items back: single-jar orders do not need to be returned; for two or more jars, Akasha sends a prepaid label and asks for the unopened jars back.
  • What is refunded: the product price only; original shipping is not refunded. Refunds are issued within 5 business days of approval.
  • Exchanges: handled through the Redo returns portal and free only for orders that added Redo package protection at checkout.

The FAQ's wording differs slightly ("within 90 days of your order"), so keep your delivery confirmation.

Who should buy from Akasha Superfoods

  • Sea moss shoppers who dislike raw gel and want gummies, capsules or ready-to-squeeze packets that need no refrigeration.
  • Label readers who want milligram amounts for each key ingredient and a batch lab report on the page.

Think twice if you have a shellfish, fish or seafood allergy (GLOW, Pearl Powder and Jellyfish Collagen contain oyster pearl or jellyfish), if you follow a strict vegan diet, or if you have a thyroid condition or take thyroid medication, since iodine amounts are not listed. Talk to your doctor first if you are pregnant, nursing, take medication or manage a health condition.

Frequently asked questions

Do Akasha Superfoods products contain iodine?

The brand says sea moss, bladderwrack and kelp are natural sources of iodine, and those ingredients appear in the capsules, gel, GLOW gummies and GROW gummies. The pages we read did not list an iodine amount. Akasha advises talking to your doctor first if you have a thyroid condition or take thyroid medication.

Do I have to subscribe to Akasha?

No. Every product we checked can be bought one time. Subscriptions are optional, cost 20 to 25% less, ship free and can be skipped, paused or cancelled in your account.

How long does a box of Akasha Jellyfish Collagen last?

15 days: a box holds 15 packets at one a day.

Are Akasha gummies vegan?

The GROW gummies are described as vegan. The GLOW gummies use pectin rather than gelatin but contain pearl powder from oysters, so they are not vegan.

The bottom line

Akasha Superfoods offers sea moss in convenient formats, with per-serving amounts and batch purity reports on each page. Most cost $1.00 to $1.50 a day before subscription savings, and the 90-day guarantee lets you try a single jar without sending it back. Before ordering, compare milligrams across formats, budget for the 15-day collagen box, check the allergen notes, and talk to your doctor first if you have a thyroid condition, take medication, or are pregnant or nursing.
