ban.do Review: Planner Sizes and Start Dates, Gift Prices, Shipping and Returns

ban.do is a US lifestyle brand best known for colorful planners, calendars, notebooks and stickers, sold alongside its own mugs, travel bags and home accessories. Its website also stocks products from other brands, including Baggu bags, Warmies microwavable plush and Pipsticks stickers. Most ban.do planners cost $18.95 to $34.95, and much of the rest of the store sits between about $10 and $50.

This review covers what ban.do sells, how its planner sizes and start dates compare, prices, shipping costs, and a 30-day return policy that deducts a $5.95 fee.

At a glance Checked October 2026

ban.do suits shoppers who want a bright, illustrated planner or a small gift with a sense of humor. Planner pages list the dates covered, dimensions, binding and extras such as sticker sheets and pockets, which makes it easy to compare sizes. The catch is the return fee and the fact that the store mixes its own products with other brands', so check who makes what you are buying.

  • Best for: Students and planners who want a 17-month academic or 12-month annual planner, plus stationery and desk gifts.
  • Typical price: Planners $18.95–$34.95; sticker books about $13–$15; notebooks and notepads about $6–$18.
  • Shipping: Free standard shipping on US orders of $75 or more; $6.95 below that in the contiguous US.
  • Returns: 30 days, original condition with packaging and tags, minus a $5.95 fee.
  • Watch out for: Final-sale items, free gifts and promotional items cannot be returned, and UPS cannot deliver to PO boxes.

What ban.do sells

The site's main menu is split into Desk, Clothing, Accessories and Living, plus New, Sale and Rewards. ban.do describes itself as a brand that curates and creates "clothes, accessories, planners, and more," and its tagline is "We exist to help you be your best."

  • Desk: 12-month and 17-month planners, undated weekly planners, to-do planners, desk calendars, meal planners, notebooks, sticky notes and sticker books.
  • Accessories: clear travel bags, pouches, keychains and lunch bags.
  • Living: mugs, trinket trays, ceramic planters, ornaments and games such as a mancala board.
  • Other brands: a large share of the catalog comes from outside makers. In the first 250 products we checked, Baggu accounted for 95 items, and there were also Warmies, Pipsticks, Sarah Hearts, Hunter and others. The site also links to a "Sell on bando.com" page.

That mix matters. If you are shopping for a ban.do planner or design specifically, check the brand name on the product page, because search results for "planner" include items from other planner makers too.

Planner sizes, layouts and start dates

ban.do sells planners in three main sizes, and the product pages we checked list the dimensions and dates clearly:

  • Classic, 8 x 5 in.: the smallest of the three, easy to carry in a tote. The Classic 12-Month Annual Planner, listed at 8 x 5 in., costs $19.95, and the Classic 17-Month Academic Planner is also $19.95.
  • Medium, 8.5 x 6.5 in.: the Medium 12-Month Annual Planner runs from January to December 2027 and costs $27.95; the Medium 17-Month Academic Planner is $29.95.
  • Large, 10 x 8 in.: the Large 17-Month Academic Planner runs from August 2026 to December 2027 and costs $34.95; Large 12-Month planners are listed at $32.

The dated planners we read share the same core layout: a monthly view, weekly spreads (unlined on the large academic version) and notes pages after each month. They use wire-o binding that the brand says lays flat, matte laminated hardcovers, laminated monthly tabs, an elastic closure, a pocket, three pages of stickers, a lunar calendar, and extra pages for important dates, goals, a book tracker, a self-care menu and coloring.

Because the 17-month academic planners start in August 2026, buying one now means a couple of months are already past. If you are starting fresh in January, the 2027 12-month planners are the better fit. For a planner you can start any week, the Weekly Undated Planner measures 10 x 8.5 in. and has 73 perforated weekly pages and 73 list pages with a concealed spiral; it was listed at $13.99 against a $24.95 regular price when we checked.

Shipping

ban.do's shipping page lists these US options:

  • Standard: 7 to 10 days; free on orders of $75 or more, $6.95 under $75, for the contiguous US.
  • UPS Ground: 4 to 7 days. The page notes this "isn't an expedited shipping method."
  • UPS Second Day Air and Next Day Air: 2 days and 1 day. Prices are calculated at checkout.

Orders placed after 7 a.m. Central on a Friday are processed the following Monday, and expedited orders may take one extra business day. UPS cannot deliver to PO boxes, so use a street address. Alaska and Hawaii rates are not listed separately. Orders cannot be changed or cancelled once placed.

Internationally, the shipping page says ban.do ships only to Canada, and suggests Amazon or a US freight forwarder elsewhere. The FAQ says it ships "all over the globe," so if you are outside the US, check at checkout.

Returns

  • Window: 30 days, started through ban.do's online returns center. The shipping page counts from delivery; the refund policy says 30 days from purchase. Start early to be safe.
  • Condition: original condition, in the original packaging with tags attached.
  • Fee: $5.95, deducted from the refund.
  • Not returnable: items marked final sale, free gifts and promotional items with a retail value.
  • Exchanges: the help menu links to "Start a Return or Exchange," but the policies do not spell out exchange terms.
  • Timing: allow 7 to 14 business days after ban.do receives the return, plus 3 to 5 business days for the refund to post.

For damaged items, email info@bando.com. Because planners are paper goods, keep the plastic wrap on until you are sure you want it, so it stays in original condition.

Who should buy from ban.do

  • Students and teachers who want a dated academic planner with stickers and tabs, in a size listed to the half inch.
  • Gift shoppers looking for small, cheerful items in the $10 to $35 range: sticker books, mugs, notepads and desk calendars.
  • Baggu and Warmies fans who want to combine those items with stationery to reach the $75 free-shipping threshold.

Look elsewhere if you want a minimalist or vertical-hourly planner, need delivery to a PO box, or want free returns.
