Bellami Hair Review: Clip-In Extension Weights, Color Matching, Prices and Sealed-Pack Returns

Bellami Hair sells human-hair extensions in two tiers: ready-to-wear pieces that anyone can buy and put in at home (Silk Seam clip-ins, a halo kit and a clip-on ponytail), and a professional range of tape-ins, keratin tips, I-tips and sewn-in wefts that is sold to verified stylists. For shoppers, the main products are the clip-ins, which run from about $176 for a 16-inch set to $715 for a 26-inch, 360-gram set.

This review focuses on what a regular shopper can actually order: the clip-in sets and their weights, the color-matching tools, prices, shipping and a 90-day return policy that only covers sets that have never been opened.

At a glance Checked October 2026

Bellami suits shoppers who want a removable, full-head clip-in set and are willing to match the color carefully before opening the package. Each length comes with a fixed weight in grams, the site sells $15 color sample sets, and unopened sets can be returned or exchanged for 90 days. Once the seal is broken, the hair cannot be returned.

  • Best for: Fine to medium hair at least 6 inches long, special events, and anyone who wants extensions without a salon install.
  • Typical price: Silk Seam clip-ins $176–$715 by length; textured clip-ins $325–$700; Halo PRO kits $320–$595; ponytails $215–$365.
  • Shipping: Free standard USPS shipping on US orders over $275 before tax; other rates appear at checkout.
  • Returns: 90 days from delivery for unopened, unworn sets with the security seal and tester piece intact.
  • Watch out for: Several categories are final sale (clip-in bangs, clip and wrap ponytails, braided hairbands, hair care, wigs and sample sets).

What Bellami sells

The site is split between a consumer menu and a professional menu. The consumer side, which the brand calls Ready-To-Wear, includes:

  • Silk Seam clip-ins (about 40 shades in the catalog): full sets of wefts with built-in clips, in straight hair, from 16 to 26 inches.
  • Silk Seam Textured clip-ins (about 20 listings): sets made for curly and coily hair, including a "Blow Out" texture meant to match stretched curls and ringlet textures.
  • Halo PRO kits: a single weft on a clear wire that sits on the head like a headband, plus two small fill-in pieces.
  • The Andrew Fitzsimons Ponytail 2.0: a wrap-around ponytail made with the celebrity stylist.
  • Accessories and tools: color rings, an extension hanger, brushes and heat tools.

The professional menu lists Flex Weft, Infinity Weft, Volume Weft, tape-ins, keratin tips and I-tips. Pro pricing and pro-only products are unlocked through a stylist account verified with BeautyAList, a third-party license check. The account page names licensed stylists and cosmetology students as the audience.

Lengths, weights and hair type

Bellami sells each clip-in length at a set weight, so a longer set also gives you more hair. For the standard Silk Seam line, the options are:

  • 16 inches: 140 grams
  • 18 inches: 140 grams
  • 20 inches: 180 grams
  • 22 inches: 240 grams
  • 24 inches: 260 grams
  • 26 inches: 360 grams

The textured line is heavier at shorter lengths: 200 grams at 16 inches, 230 grams at 20 inches and 240 grams at 24 inches. Halo PRO kits run from 120 grams at 14 inches to 170 grams at 20 inches, and the ponytail is 100 grams at 20 inches or 120 grams at 24 inches.

Product pages describe the hair as 100% Remy human hair, and the FAQ adds that it goes through Bellami's own dyeing process. The brand uses what it calls Invisi-Weft, which it says is 30% thinner than its classic lace weft. Sets are made up of 2-clip, 3-clip and 4-clip pieces; the product page lists add-on packs of five and seven pieces, but the main listing we read did not state how many wefts come in each length, so check the box contents or ask the brand before you order.

Bellami recommends at least 6 inches of your own hair and says the Silk Seam clip-ins suit all hair types, "especially fine to medium hair." The Halo PRO page is more specific: it recommends it for fine to medium density, shoulder-length or longer hair and straight to wavy textures, and says it is not recommended for very thick hair, very short hair, blunt cuts or visible thinning at the part. According to the brand, clip-ins last 6 to 12 months with proper care, depending on how often they are worn. You can heat style them with a heat protectant. The brand advises against lightening or bleaching, and says dyeing is at your own risk.

Color matching

Color is the biggest risk with clip-ins, and Bellami offers several ways to check first:

  • Silk Seam ColorMatch Sample Sets ($15 for three swatches) let you hold real hair against your own at home. Sample sets are final sale. After buying one, shoppers who opt in to marketing emails get a one-time $50 credit toward an order of $200 or more, valid for 90 days.
  • Color rings with small samples of each shade are sold separately.
  • Color Concierge: you can text an expert, or email a photo of your hair taken outside in natural light.
  • Halo PRO swatch: one of the halo kit's fill-in pieces doubles as a swatch. The product page warns that opening the full kit before confirming the match makes it ineligible for return.

Bellami says balayage and ombre sets should not be dyed, so if you are between shades, sample both rather than planning to recolor.

Shipping

Orders ship from Bellami's distribution center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The brand says over 99% of orders placed by 2 p.m. Pacific, Monday to Friday, ship the same day.

  • Standard: 4 to 6 days; free on US orders over $275 before sales tax.
  • Rush: 2 business days.
  • Overnight: next business day, without a guaranteed time.
  • PO boxes, APO, Alaska and Hawaii: USPS Priority Mail only; Standard, Rush and Overnight cannot go to PO boxes.

Bellami does not publish its paid shipping rates; they appear at checkout after you enter your address. Optional shipping protection covering loss, theft or damage is offered at checkout, but its price is not listed on the shipping page. Bellami also ships to many countries, with a $20 flat rate on international orders under $200 and free shipping above that, though not every product ships abroad.

Returns and exchanges

Bellami's return policy is generous on time but strict on condition:

  • Window: 90 days from delivery, for a refund or an exchange to another shade or product.
  • Condition: unopened, in original packaging, with the security seal fully intact and the tester piece included. The hair cannot be tried on, cut, colored, styled or treated. For hygiene reasons, opened sets cannot be returned.
  • Final sale: clip-in bangs, clip and wrap ponytails, braided hairbands, all hair care, all wigs and styling tools bought with a discount code. ColorMatch sample sets are also final sale.
  • Shipping costs: the original shipping charge is not refunded. Returns sent through the official portal include shipping protection, but the policy does not say who pays return postage.
  • Refunds: go to the original payment method; timing depends on your payment provider.

In practice, you can only judge the color through the packaging, a swatch or a sample set. For quality problems such as heavy shedding, the brand points to a hair-quality feedback form; it says some shedding is normal in the first few wears.

Who should buy from Bellami

  • First-time extension wearers who want a clip-in or halo they can remove every night, without booking a salon install.
  • Shoppers with fine to medium hair who want both length and volume, since weight rises with length.
  • Curly and coily hair through the textured Silk Seam line, which is built around curl patterns rather than straight hair.
  • Careful planners who will order a $15 sample set first and keep the full set sealed until they are sure of the shade.

It is a weaker fit if you want a cheap trial set or need to try hair on before deciding.

Bellami coupon codes

We do not publish codes we cannot verify, and the site's promotion terms change often. The savings we could confirm on the site were free standard shipping on US orders over $275, the $50 credit (on orders of $200 or more) that comes after buying a ColorMatch sample set and opting in to emails, and a 15% automatic discount on the Bridal Kit while supplies last. The terms page says only one discount can be used per order and codes do not apply to education products. Any working offers we find are listed on our Bellami coupons page.

Frequently asked questions

How many grams of Bellami clip-ins do I need?

The FAQ gives no grams-per-hair-type rule. Each length comes at a fixed weight, from 140 grams at 16 inches to 360 grams at 26 inches, so choose length first and check the weight suits your hair's thickness.

Can I return Bellami extensions if the color is wrong?

Only if the set is unopened with the security seal and tester piece intact, within 90 days of delivery. You can exchange it for another shade under the same conditions.

Can I buy tape-ins or keratin tips from Bellami?

Those methods sit in the professional menu, and pro pricing and products require a verified stylist account. Most shoppers would have them installed by a salon.

How long do Bellami clip-ins last?

The brand says 6 to 12 months with proper care, depending on how often you wear them. It recommends washing only when needed, using sulfate-free shampoo and heat protectant, and not sleeping in clip-ins.

The bottom line

Bellami is a clear option for removable human-hair clip-ins, with each length sold at a fixed weight, textured sets for curly hair and inexpensive sample sets for color matching. The prices are high, especially from 22 inches up, and the return policy only works if you leave the set sealed. Order a sample set first, check that your hair is at least 6 inches long, and keep the package unopened until you are sure of the shade.
