Camp Snap as a Holiday Gift: Which Model for Kids, Teens and Adults, Prices and Timing

Camp Snap makes screen-free digital cameras: you look through a viewfinder, press the shutter and only see the photos once the camera is plugged into a phone or computer. That makes it a popular gift for kids who are not ready for a phone, and for teens and adults who like the surprise of a disposable camera. If you are buying one for the holidays, the practical questions are which model suits the person, what comes in the box, what it costs and whether it will arrive (and can go back) in time. This guide pulls those answers from the brand's pages. For the full rundown on the brand, see our full Camp Snap review.

At a glance Checked October 2026

Four cameras were for sale when we checked: the Camp Snap 2 ($69.99), the 110D ($74.99), the CS-PRO ($99) and the CS-8 video camcorder ($199). Stock was patchy, and one model lists a batch shipping in late November, so order early and check the product page before you count on a date.

  • Best for: A first camera for a child (Camp Snap 2), a retro-looking camera for a teen (110D), a sharper camera with a stronger flash for an adult (CS-PRO), or a screen-free camcorder for someone who prefers video (CS-8).
  • Typical price: $69.99 to $199 for cameras; small add-ons $9.99 to $29.99; digital gift cards $50 to $500.
  • Watch out for: Product pages showed "Sold out" for some cameras while the store data listed colors as available, and returns must be unused and requested within 30 days of delivery.

Which Camp Snap to give, by recipient

Camp Snap does not publish an age recommendation on the product pages we read, so think about the person rather than an age band.

  • Kids: Camp Snap 2 ($69.99). This is the model with what the brand calls CampLock: the filter button ships locked (hold it for 10 seconds to unlock), and the memory card and date settings sit behind a door that ships held shut with a screw, with a pull tab for parents. It comes in 11 colors, from Stealth Black to Strawberry Splash, and is the only camera that fits the $27 Camp Snap 2 Waterproof Case.
  • Teens: 110D ($74.99) or a bright Camp Snap 2. The 110D has a long, slim body modeled on the 110 film cameras of the 1970s and comes in two colors, Back in Black and Dreamsicle. The FAQ says it uses the same core 8MP imaging system as the Camp Snap 2, so the photos are the same; the difference is the pocketable shape, a sliding filter selector and a built-in LED flash.
  • Adults: CS-PRO ($99). A rangefinder-style body with a 16MP-output sensor, a xenon flash and a four-position filter dial, in a single version.
  • Video fans: CS-8 ($199). A Super 8-inspired camcorder with no playback screen, in Classic, Espresso, Rose and Champagne. At about 1.75 lb it is the bulkiest option.

What comes in the box

  • 110D: a wrist lanyard, a carrying pouch, a USB-C to USB-C cable for charging and file transfer, and a preinstalled 4GB microSD card that the brand says holds about 2,000 photos.
  • CS-PRO: the FAQ says it comes ready to go with preinstalled memory and a USB-C cable, and the spec list says 4GB is built in. A full box list is not given.
  • CS-8: the camera, a preinstalled 4GB SD card (about 30 minutes of footage), a lens cap and a USB-C cable.
  • Camp Snap 2: the page says a microSD card is preinstalled with room for about 2,000 photos and that the camera charges and transfers over USB-C, but we did not find a written box list on the product page.

Before the big day, note that the FAQ says a charge-only USB-C cable will not transfer photos, and older Lightning iPhones need an SD card reader adapter. Add one to the gift if needed.

Prices, bundles and gift extras

  • Cameras: Camp Snap 2 $69.99; 110D $74.99; CS-PRO $99; CS-8 $199.
  • Several cameras: the Camp Snap 2 page lists multi-camera pricing of $66.50 each for two, $63 each for three and $59.50 each for four or more, with free shipping on those packs.
  • Bundles: the Camp Snap 2 Underwater Bundle (camera plus waterproof case) was $96.95 to $96.99, the Ultimate Sleeping Bag Bundle about $137, and a Sleeping Bag and Camp Snap Pro set $118.99.
  • Stocking stuffers: Gem Kits for decorating the camera ($9.99), Adventure Wrist Strap ($9.99), Premium Wrist Strap ($12), a combined wrist strap and USB-C data cable ($9.99), a camera bag that fits the Camp Snap and CS-PRO ($19.99) and a sleeping-bag-style carrying case ($29.99). These showed as sold out on the Camp Snap 2 page.
  • Digital gift card: $50 to $500, sent as a code by email. No expiry terms are stated, and gift cards cannot be returned.

Stock and holiday shipping timing

Camp Snap makes cameras in small batches, and stock is the main thing to plan around:

  • Camp Snap 2: the homepage and product page showed every color as "Sold out" with a "Batches 1-10 Sold Out!" note, while the store's product data listed 7 of the 11 colors as available.
  • 110D: "Batch 01 SOLD OUT!" and "Batch #02 Ships by Last Week of November, or Earlier."
  • CS-PRO: the product page showed "Sold out" next to the add-to-cart controls.
  • CS-8: the new colors were on pre-order, with the site banner saying "Ships End of OCT."

If an order includes a pre-order item, the whole order ships together once everything is in stock, so order a pre-order camera separately from anything you need sooner. Weekday orders placed before 12 p.m. Pacific ship the same business day, per the product pages. US Standard is $5.50 (2 to 5 business days) and Priority $10.50 (1 to 3). The banner advertises free shipping on $100 or more, while the policy ties it to two or more cameras, so check at checkout. No holiday cutoff dates were published.

Returns if the gift misses

  • Window: request a return through the returns portal within 30 days of receiving the item. Items sent back without a request are not accepted.
  • Condition: unused, in the condition received, with all original accessories and packaging and proof of purchase.
  • Costs: original shipping is not refunded. In the US, the return label is covered only if you added the optional Redo return coverage at checkout.
  • Not returnable: gift cards, final-sale items and used or damaged items.
  • Refunds: to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

No extended holiday return window is mentioned, and the clock starts at delivery, not on the holiday itself. A camera delivered in mid-November could be outside the window by late December, and one that has taken photos may not count as unused. If the model is a guess, a gift card avoids the problem. For defects, the policy says to contact support right away, and the FAQ says broken-camera emails get a reply within 24 hours; no warranty period is stated. We did not find a published sitewide code. Any working offers we find are listed on our Camp Snap coupons page.

Frequently asked questions

Is a Camp Snap a good gift for a young child?

Camp Snap does not state an age range. The Camp Snap 2 is the model with kid-oriented settings: a locked filter button and a screwed-shut door over the memory card and date settings.

Does a Camp Snap come with a memory card?

Yes. The Camp Snap 2 and 110D come with a preinstalled microSD card (about 2,000 photos), the CS-PRO lists 4GB built in, and the CS-8 includes a 4GB SD card.

Can I return a Camp Snap that was opened as a gift?

Only if it is unused, complete with its original packaging and accessories, and the return is requested within 30 days of delivery through the returns portal.

The bottom line

For most children the Camp Snap 2 is the obvious pick at $69.99, with the 110D as a style-led choice for teens, the CS-PRO for adults who want more resolution and a xenon flash, and the CS-8 for video. Stock is the main risk this season: check the product page, keep pre-orders on a separate order, and remember the 30-day return window runs from delivery. If in doubt, a digital gift card lets the recipient choose.
