AVANT Skincare is a UK skincare brand that sells face creams, serums, masks, eye and lip treatments, body care, hair care, fragrance and gift sets from its own website, and says it also runs a skin clinic in Edinburgh. US shoppers can switch the site to US dollars, and most single skincare products cost about $87 to $142 at the US prices we checked.
This review looks at the site from a US buyer's point of view: what AVANT sells, what product pages tell you, US prices, shipping and duties to the US, and a return policy that accepts only unopened products and leaves return postage to you.

What AVANT Skincare sells
The full catalog listed about 195 products when we checked. Skin care made up most of it, with a few candles and home fragrances. The main groups were:
- Face moisturizers and night creams, many built around hyaluronic acid, glycolic acid, ceramides or what the brand calls plant-derived R.N.A.
- Serums, toners, mists, masks and exfoliators, including a fragrance-free Sensitive Skincare collection.
- Eye and lip products: eye creams, eye pads, lip serums, scrubs and balms.
- Body, hand and hair care: lotions, hand balms, foot scrub, shampoo, conditioner and hair treatments.
- Fragrances, candles and home fragrance.
- Gift sets, advent calendars and digital gift cards.
- A few supplements and baby care items.
The FAQ says the whole range is not tested on animals and is certified by Cruelty Free International under the Leaping Bunny program, and that a vegan-friendly range is available. The site does not say where products are manufactured.
Ingredients, sizes and what product pages tell you
Each product page we read showed a full ingredient list using standard INCI names, such as "aqua (water)" and "parfum (fragrance)." For example, the Pro-Intense Hyaluronic Acid Illuminating Day Cream lists water, caprylic/capric triglyceride, ethylhexyl palmitate and cetyl alcohol first, with dimethicone and phenoxyethanol further down. That makes it possible to check for ingredients you avoid before you order.
Product pages also make strong claims, which are the brand's own. The day cream page says it is "clinically proven to smooth the appearance of fine lines, hydrate skin, and reverse the signs of ageing," and the R.N.A Radical Firmness Anti-Ageing Serum page says it is clinically proven to smooth wrinkles and firm skin in 28 days. The pages we read did not link to the studies behind these claims, so we cannot assess them. Treat them as marketing until you see the study details.
Other details to know:
- Sizes: the product pages we checked did not list the size in ml for the main "Original Pack." Only a 50 ml travel pack was labeled on one cream. Ask customer service before comparing prices per ml.
- Patch test: product pages advise a 24-hour patch test before first use.
- After opening: the FAQ recommends using products within 12 months of opening; check the base of each product for its own date.
- Fragrance: many formulas include parfum, so look for the Sensitive collection if you avoid fragrance.
Prices for US shoppers
The site defaults to British pounds, but the currency selector offers US dollars, and prices then show in USD. Examples in USD at the time of writing:

In pounds, the median single product was about £82. Two pricing patterns are worth knowing. First, many items show a "Buy 1 Get 1 Free" label, but the product pages we read did not explain the terms. Second, gift sets show very large reference prices: one set was listed at $120 against a "regular" $586, and a starter set at $29 against $174. Judge sets by the products inside and their actual price, not the size of the markdown.
Shipping to the US and duties
AVANT ships from the UK to the US. Its shipping policy lists:
- USA: DHL Express Tracked, $14.99, 1 to 3 working days; free on orders over $150.
- Processing: orders placed by 12 p.m. UK time ship the same day, Monday to Friday; later orders ship within 24 hours.
- Surcharges: remote areas carry an extra charge at checkout, and promotional orders ship to mainland addresses only.
On duties, the policy says there are "no import duties or taxes at checkout or upon delivery" because AVANT covers the costs upfront. Some product pages give different details, quoting UPS Express at $9.99 and saying orders under $800 avoid duties under the US de minimis exemption. The US suspended that exemption in 2025, so rely on the policy's promise that AVANT pays any duties, and check the delivery cost and total at checkout before you pay. The homepage banner advertises "Free UK / EU / US Delivery," but the policy sets the $150 minimum for US orders.
Returns from the US
The return policy applies to all customers and does not offer a US return address or prepaid label.
- Window: notify AVANT in writing within 14 days (through the contact page, chat or email), then return the item within a further 15 days.
- Condition: unopened and unused, in original packaging and "pristine condition."
- Return postage: you pay for returning unwanted items. AVANT refunds postage only for wrong, damaged or faulty items.
- Risk: you are responsible for the parcel until it reaches the warehouse, so use an insured, tracked service and keep proof of postage.
- Refunds: AVANT aims to refund within five working days of receiving the return.
- Not covered: the policy does not say whether original shipping charges are refunded.
In practice, international postage on a single jar can be a large share of its price, so a US return only makes sense for higher-value, unopened items. Since opened products cannot be returned, use the patch test and ingredient list before opening anything.
