CPX Pickleball Accessories, Bundles and Lifetime Warranty: What's in the Box and What's Final Sale

Most paddles from CPX Pickleball arrive with more than a bare paddle in the box, which changes what you actually need to add at checkout. The Chicago brand also sells accessories from a $4.99 keychain to a $169.97 backpack, a handful of sets, and an optional Lifetime Warranty that is one of its main selling points. This guide covers what each paddle includes, the add-ons, the warranty in detail and which purchases cannot be returned. Paddle specs and shipping are covered in our full CPX Pickleball review.
At a glance Checked October 2026
Every main CPX paddle ships with a cover and factory-fitted edge guard tape, and the Hyper+ adds a carrying case and the Lifetime Warranty. On its own, the warranty costs $29.97 per paddle and is described as replacement for any reason on a photo claim. Returns run 90 days, but you pay return shipping and several items are final sale.
- Best for: Shoppers deciding what to add to a CPX paddle order, or whether the warranty is worth paying for.
- Typical price: Most accessories $9.97 to $14.97; Starter Set $139.97; Lifetime Warranty $29.97 per paddle.
- Watch out for: Demo paddles, Mystery Paddles, gift cards and the two-paddle Pro listing cannot be returned, and CPX's pages disagree on whether the warranty can be added later.
What already comes with each CPX paddle
From the "in the box" list on each product page:
- Air: protective cover, pre-installed grip and factory-fitted edge guard tape.
- Pro: neoprene cover, edge guard tape, cushioned grip and a CPX keychain.
- Max and Ultra: cover, edge guard tape and grip.
- Hyper: matching cover, perforated grip and edge guard tape.
- Hyper+: a leather carrying case (the Ghost edition ships with a neoprene case instead), edge guard tape, a perforated grip and the Lifetime Warranty.
- Hyper+ RIPSAW (pre-order): a limited edition neoprene cover and a keychain, with the lifetime warranty mentioned on its page.
Each page also says the paddle is covered against manufacturing defects, but none of them states how long that standard warranty lasts.
Accessories and what they cost
Protection and care
- Paddle Cover ($14.97): a padded neoprene sleeve, about 2 oz, that CPX says fits every CPX paddle including elongated models. CPX notes it is a sleeve, not a hard case.
- Edge Guard Tape ($9.97): sold by core thickness, with 14mm (Max), 16mm (Ultra) and 19mm (Pro) options in several colors. Pick the one that matches your paddle's thickness.
- Paddle Eraser ($14.97): a rubber block for cleaning the face.
Grip and tuning
- Overgrip Pack ($9.97): three overgrips with finishing tape.
- Replacement Paddle Grip ($9.97): one full replacement grip.
- Paddle Bands ($9.97): a five-pack of rubber rings for the handle.
- Lead Tape Strips ($14.97): ten adhesive weights for the paddle edge.

Balls and gear
- CPX40 balls: a 40-hole outdoor ball in green or pink, at $29.97 for 8, $49.97 for 16, $89.97 for 32 and $179.97 for 80. CPX does not claim tournament approval and tells players to check their event's approved ball list. The page also shows a notice about deferred or recurring purchases near the cart button, so read it before paying.
- Reflex glasses ($39.97): include a polarized red mirror lens, a clear lens and a hard case.
- Bags and extras: the Club Sport Backpack ($169.97), which CPX says holds up to four paddles, a $19.97 tote, a $9.97 towel, hats and apparel.

Sets and bundles, and which are final sale
- Starter Set ($139.97): two Air paddles, two neoprene covers and a box of eight CPX40 outdoor balls. It ships as pictured, and the page lists the standard 90-day return window.
- Two-paddle Max listing ($239.97): two Max paddles in any of six Black, White and Pink combinations, plus two covers, two edge tapes and two keychains. Its FAQ says pairs are covered 90 days against manufacturing defects and, for a change of mind, to contact CPX, which is vaguer than the standard return policy.
- Two-paddle Pro listing ($99.97 to $119.97): CPX's homepage and contact page both say these orders are final sale, although the listing itself does not say so.
- Care Package ($49.97): the page has no written contents list. The product image labels a paddle cover, a CPX shirt and a paddle eraser, and no shirt size option is shown, so ask CPX before ordering if fit matters.
- Demo Paddle ($85 to $220): you choose the exact model from what is in stock. CPX describes these as lightly handled, inspected and sanitized, and lists them as final sale; its FAQ says manufacturing defects are still covered. A generic 90-day returns panel also appears on the page, but the description and FAQ are clear.
- Mystery Paddle ($49.97 demo unit, $79.97 sealed): a random Air, Pro, Max or Ultra (the Hyper+ is not included). The sealed option showed as sold out. CPX lists it as final sale with "no returns, no exchanges, no guarantees."
- Gift cards ($10 to $100): not returnable under the refund policy.

The Lifetime Warranty, read closely
The standalone warranty costs $29.97 for one paddle, $59.97 for two, $89.97 for three and $119.97 for four, and it is included with every Hyper+. Its own page describes:
- Coverage: free replacement "for any reason" for as long as you own the paddle, including wear, chips, cracks, a dead face and accidents.
- Claims: email a photo and your order number to info@cpxpickleball.com. You do not have to send the old paddle back.
- Replacements: covered too, with no limit. If your model is discontinued, CPX sends the closest current equivalent.
- Exclusion: the page says the only thing it does not cover is "a paddle you no longer have," so a lost paddle is not a claim.
Three points do not line up across the site. The warranty page says you can add it to a paddle you already own, while the refund policy says it "can only be acquired at the time of sale." The Hyper+ pages describe replacement "if the paddle fails" with CPX covering "shipping both ways," while the standalone page says no return is needed at all. And the Black Label membership ($499.97 a year), which bundles lifetime coverage on your CPX gear with a paddle each membership year, quarterly gear credit and member pricing, describes its warranty as covering "defects and normal wear." If you are buying the warranty for a specific scenario, confirm it in writing. The refund policy adds that a lifetime warranty is refunded in full with an approved return, and that a severely damaged paddle may be refused for return if no warranty was bought.
Returns, step by step
- Ask first, within 90 days of receiving the item: email info@cpxpickleball.com with your order number. Returns sent without approval are not accepted.
- Pack it complete, with the original packaging including the box and sleeve.
- Ship it at your own cost to CPX Pickleball Returns, P.O. Box 1034, West Chicago, IL 60186. Paddle pages list no restocking fee.
- Wait for the refund to your original payment method, within 10 business days of approval; CPX asks you to get in touch if 15 business days pass.
Exchanges are a return plus a new order, or a credit for the price difference. One detail worth knowing: the optional Shipping Protection added at checkout ($3.49 to $7.95) is described in the shipping policy as covering lost, stolen or damaged packages and "also includes a prepaid return label." The policy does not explain how that label works with the customer-paid return rule, so ask before relying on it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to buy a cover with a CPX paddle?
Not for the main paddles, which all list a cover or case in the box. The $14.97 cover is mainly for spares.
Can I return a CPX demo paddle?
No. Demo and Mystery paddles are final sale. CPX says demo paddles are still covered for manufacturing defects, but not for a change of mind.
Is the CPX Lifetime Warranty included with every paddle?
Only with the Hyper+ (and, per its page, the RIPSAW). Otherwise it is a $29.97 add-on; confirm whether it can be added later, as the policy pages disagree.
The bottom line
Most CPX paddles arrive ready to play, so the useful add-ons are spares, overgrips, balls and, for players who are hard on paddles, the $29.97 Lifetime Warranty. Know which items are final sale, budget for return postage, and get warranty questions answered in writing.
