Dreamer Designs Review: Artist-Licensed Diamond Painting Kits With a Lifetime Warranty

Dreamer Designs is a diamond painting brand founded in 2019 by Brandon Lam. The store says it changed hands in October 2025, when Eric Ritvo and his family took over. It sells diamond painting kits, mini kits, custom photo kits and accessories, and says every design is legally licensed from the original artist, with more than 1,000 designs from artists it works with directly. US stock is held in warehouses in Nevada and Illinois, and a large part of the range ships from the brand's overseas factory.
This review covers the catalog, kit contents, prices, the two shipping routes and the return rules, which depend on where a kit ships from.
At a glance Checked October 2026
Dreamer Designs suits diamond painters who want artist-licensed kits with a lifetime warranty on drills and canvases. The main catch is that Overseas Collection kits, custom kits and mystery boxes are final sale, and overseas and custom kits ship more slowly.
- Best for: Diamond painters who want each design credited to a named artist, and US buyers who want fast delivery from a US warehouse.
- Typical price: A typical kit costs $42.99–$72.99, with a median listing of $47.99; mini kits are $34.99 and custom photo kits start at $59.99.
- Shipping: US-warehouse kits take 3–7 business days, free over $75 in the US; overseas kits arrive in 10–15 business days, free on three or more.
- Returns: Within 30 days of receipt, unopened with the plastic seal intact; you pay return shipping unless wrong or damaged; no restocking fee.
- Watch out for: Overseas Collection kits, custom kits and mystery boxes cannot be returned, and packing usually starts about an hour after you order.
What Dreamer Designs sells
The catalog is mostly full-size kits, sorted by theme and by artist:
- Diamond Canvas Kits that ship from the USA. Single-option kits from 40 × 40 cm up to 60 × 100 cm, each tied to a named artist.
- "Ships from Overseas" kits. Mostly 40 × 40 cm to 60 × 40 cm, with a choice of square or round drills, made and sent from the brand's factory.
- Mini kits. Themed sets of ten 5" × 7" canvases with square drills.
- Custom kits. Diamond paintings made from your own photo, in sizes from 40 × 40 cm to 100 × 80 cm.
- Accessories and gift cards. Drill pens, tip sets, trays, organizers and release papers.
The store says it is open to AI as a design tool, and some product pages note that "this artist may have used AI during the design process."

What's in a kit
Product pages list the same contents for a standard kit: presorted drills, a canvas the store calls "silky-soft," two stylus pens, a diamond tweezer, a straightener tool, a 3- and 6-drill placer, two wax caddies, DMC storage stickers, extra zip-lock bags, a reusable tool bag, a reusable carry bag and instructions. Mini kits add an inventory sheet with pre-cut stickers and resealable bags.
The FAQ describes two drill types. Square drills are 2.5 mm resin with 9 or 13 surface cuts and sit edge to edge for a full mosaic look. Round drills are 2.8 mm acrylic with 26 cuts, and the store says they are easier for beginners to pick up and place. Many kits also include AB (aurora borealis) accent drills. The store says it includes 20% more diamonds than you need, and that canvases are woven polyester, sized approximately and can be off by 1–3 cm. The FAQ estimates 15+ hours for a 30 × 30 cm kit and 50+ for 90 × 60 cm.

Prices
Prices are in US dollars. A typical kit costs $42.99–$72.99, and the median listing is $47.99. US-shipped kits run from $42.99 (40 × 40 cm) to $84.99 (60 × 100 cm). Overseas kits cost $42.99–$52.99, with square drills $5 more than round. Examples at the time of writing:
- Mini Kits (ten 5" × 7" canvases): $34.99
- Petals, Patterns, and Sweetness, 40 × 50 cm overseas kit: $42.99 round / $47.99 square
- President Cat, 60 × 60 cm: $57.99
- Adorable Snowman, 60 × 80 cm: $72.99
- Custom photo kit: listed from $59.99, depending on size
- Birthday Celebration (clearance): $47.99, listed down from $64.99
Accessories run from $8.99 (release papers) to $29.99 (a stainless tip set, listed from $39.99).

Shipping
The shipping policy says US-warehouse orders ship from Reno, Nevada or McCook, Illinois. (The FAQ still mentions a Los Angeles facility.) In-stock US orders placed Monday to Friday before 11:00 AM PT usually ship the same day, and US delivery, including Alaska and Hawaii, is listed at 3–7 business days. The store does not ship to PO boxes.
Free shipping on US-warehouse kits starts at $75 in the United States; $125 for Canada, the UK, Australia and New Zealand; $175 for Western Europe; and $200 elsewhere. International orders are sent duties-paid for most countries and take 7–14 business days.
Overseas kits need 2–4 business days of processing and typically arrive in 10–15 business days. They ship free worldwide when you buy three or more. Custom kits have conflicting timings: the shipping policy allows 10–14 business days to make them, while the custom kit page says 15–20. Plan on the longer one.
If tracking stalls for 14 business days, the store offers a replacement or refund, but not for parcels marked delivered. Optional Dreamer Shipping Protection covers loss or theft with reshipment only.
Returns, warranty and "Uh-Oh Insurance"
Returns must be started within 30 days of receiving your order. Kits must be unopened with the plastic seal intact. You pay return shipping unless the item was wrong or damaged. There is no restocking fee, and the store says refunds go out the day your return arrives.
The exceptions:
- Overseas Collection kits, custom kits and mystery boxes cannot be returned or exchanged. That covers a large share of the catalog.
- Cancellations must be made before packing starts, which the store says is usually about an hour after you order. Custom and overseas kits can be cancelled within 2 hours.
- Opened kits count as used: opened diamond bags, a written-on package or paste on drills can all void a refund.
The Lifetime Warranty lists canvas creases, rips and scratches, defective tools, missing or wrong diamonds, diamonds falling off after completion and diamonds losing shine, with replacement parts or kits at no cost. Free "Uh-Oh Insurance" covers spills. For either, email with your order number and a photo.

Payment
The FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Google Pay and Amazon Pay, plus payment plans through Afterpay and Shop Pay. Cash on delivery is not offered.
Who should buy from Dreamer Designs
- Diamond painters who care about licensing and want each design credited to a named artist.
- US buyers who want fast delivery from a US warehouse, with a lifetime warranty on missing drills and canvas defects.
- Beginners trying round drills or a mini kit first.
Think twice if you might change your mind: overseas and custom kits are non-returnable, other kits only go back sealed, and overseas and custom delivery is slower.
Dreamer Designs coupon codes
We did not find a verified public coupon code at the time of writing, and we do not publish codes we cannot confirm. When we checked, the store's own announcement bar was advertising a 10% fall offer, so look there for current terms. Other reliable savings are the clearance collection, free shipping thresholds ($75 in the US, or three or more overseas kits), and the Dreamer Rewards points program. Reward points cannot be combined with promo codes and expire after 365 days. Any working offers we find are listed on our Dreamer Designs coupons page.
Frequently asked questions
Is Dreamer Designs legit?
Dreamer Designs was founded in 2019 by Brandon Lam, and the store says Eric Ritvo and his family took it over in October 2025. It holds US stock in warehouses in Nevada and Illinois, publishes a 30-day return policy for sealed kits and a Lifetime Warranty on canvases and drills, and accepts PayPal, Google Pay, Amazon Pay and major cards. Are Dreamer Designs kits licensed?
The store says every design is legally licensed from the original artist, and each product page names the artist.
Can I return a Dreamer Designs kit?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, if it is unopened and still sealed. Overseas Collection kits, custom kits and mystery boxes cannot be returned.
What if my kit is missing diamonds?
The store says all canvas kits, including clearance items, have lifetime missing-diamond protection. Contact support with your order number and the missing DMC codes.

The bottom line
Dreamer Designs stands out for artist-licensed designs, detailed kit listings and a lifetime warranty on drills and canvases. Most kits cost $43–$73. Check where a kit ships from before you buy: US-warehouse kits arrive faster and can be returned sealed, while overseas and custom kits are slower and final sale.
