Nicpro Review: Mechanical Pencil Kits, Paint Sets and Resin Supplies at Modest Prices
Nicpro is an art and office supplies brand that sells its own products directly through nicpro.com. The store says it "mainly focuses on Art & Office Product" and aims to offer quality products at appealing prices. Its return address is in Guangzhou, China, but orders ship from local warehouses in the United States, Canada, the UK and Germany. The range covers mechanical pencils, paint sets, brushes, epoxy resin and mold-making kits, portfolio bags and school supplies, almost all sold under the Nicpro name.
Below we cover what is in the main sets, paint types and age labels, prices, shipping and a return policy with some notable contradictions.
At a glance Checked October 2026
Nicpro suits students, hobby painters and resin crafters who want well-equipped pencil kits, paint sets and resin supplies at modest prices. The main catch is the return policy: you pay return shipping to China, and sale items cannot be refunded under the written policy.
- Best for: Students and sketchers who want a full mechanical pencil kit under $20, hobby painters, and resin crafters wanting a starter kit.
- Typical price: In-stock items ranged from $6.99 to $139.99, with a typical item at about $20.
- Shipping: Free for packages from 0 to 2kg, USD $10 for 2 to 10kg; 1–2 days to prepare, most US orders arrive within 3–7 business days.
- Returns: 30 days from purchase, unused and in original packaging; return shipping to Guangzhou, China is on you; sale items cannot be refunded.
- Watch out for: The policy contradicts "100% risk free purchase" claims on product pages, and safety and age claims such as "food safe" resin vary by listing.
What Nicpro sells
About 250 listings were in stock when we checked:
- Mechanical pencils. The largest section: metal drafting pencils from 0.3mm to 2mm, pastel school pencils, 1.3mm heavy-duty pencils, carpenter pencil sets and bulk lead refills.
- Paint sets. Acrylic, acrylic pour, chalk, fabric, outdoor and washable kids' paint, plus watercolor sets with up to 168 colors.
- Brushes and palettes. Detail and miniature brushes, artist brush sets and stay-wet palettes for miniature painters.
- Resin and mold making. Epoxy, deep-pour and UV resin kits, platinum silicone mold kits and mixing tools.
- Art storage and display. Portfolio bags and folders, and display easels.
- School and office. Dry erase lap boards, notebooks, highlighter kits, utility knives and hobby blades.
What is in the sets, paint types and age labels
Listings spell out contents in detail. Examples:
- 35PCS Art Mechanical Pencil Set: six drafting pencils (0.5, 0.7 and 0.9mm plus three 2mm lead holders), 20 tubes of lead including 4H–6B graphite and colored leads, erasers, eraser refills, two sharpeners and a storage case.
- 50 Colors Watercolor Paint Set: 50 pan colors (including four metallic and four fluorescent) in a metal box, eight squirrel-hair brushes, a 25-sheet pad of 300gsm cold-press paper, a water brush pen, sponges, a palette and a carry bag.
- 30 Colors Acrylic Paint Set: 30 tubes of 2 fl oz (60ml), three brushes, a paint knife and a sponge.
- 14 Colors Acrylic Pour Paint Set: fourteen 1000ml bottles, 2 oz of silicone pour oil and 50 pairs of gloves. The listing warns that this is "not acrylic paint, it is acrylic pour paint, thinner than traditional acrylic paint."
Read the paint type carefully. Nicpro sells standard acrylics, ready-mixed pour paint, matte chalk paint for furniture, permanent fabric paint, gloss outdoor acrylic and a washable tempera-style set for kids, and they behave differently. We did not find paint markers in the current catalog.
Safety and age statements vary by listing and are the store's own claims. The 30-color acrylic set is described as "ASTM D-4236 and EN71-3 (CE) certified," several watercolor sets as conforming to ASTM D-4236 and "safe for child & adult use," and the washable paint as "safe for creative teens and kids." A few kits and the rhinestone stickers say they are for children over 3; most listings give no age range. Several epoxy resin kits are described as "non-toxic (food safe)." Treat that as a marketing claim, and follow the mixing and curing instructions. Resin, utility knives and hobby blades are adult tools, and young children should be supervised with any small parts.
Prices
Prices are in US dollars. In-stock items ranged from $6.99 to $139.99 when we checked, with a typical item at about $20. Examples at the time of writing:

Some listings carry a crossed-out reference price, and a few are sold as "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" bundles marked US only. Note the return rule on sale items below before you rely on a discount.
Shipping
According to Nicpro's shipping page, orders usually take 1–2 days to prepare. US orders ship from American warehouses and most arrive within 3–7 business days, with the same estimate for Canada and the UK. European orders ship mainly from Germany and take 5–7 business days to France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
Standard shipping is free for packages from 0 to 2kg. Heavy goods from 2 to 10kg cost USD $10. Large paint and resin kits can be heavy, so check the shipping line at checkout. Tracking is via a 17track link, and the store says it replies to emails within 24 hours.
Returns: read the fine print
Nicpro's refund policy gives you 30 days from purchase. Items must be unused, in the same condition and in their original packaging, with a receipt or proof of purchase. The terms are less generous than they first look:
- Return shipping is on you. You pay to send the item back, shipping costs are non-refundable, and the return shipping cost is deducted from your refund.
- Returns go to China. The listed return address is in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China, even though orders ship from local warehouses.
- Sale items cannot be refunded. The policy says "only regular priced items may be refunded." That conflicts with the many listings that show a crossed-out price, and with product pages promising a "100% risk free purchase" with a "no-questions-asked Refund or Replacement."
- Exchanges are only for defective or damaged items, replaced with the same item.
- Partial refunds may apply to items not in original condition or returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Because of these contradictions, email the store before returning anything and keep the reply. The policy uses nicpro_yv@hotmail.com for refunds and exchanges, while the shipping and About pages use nicprodirect@hotmail.com.
Payment
The About page lists PayPal and credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express), and the site footer shows PayPal and Venmo logos.
Who should buy from Nicpro
- Students and sketchers who want a full mechanical pencil kit with leads and erasers for under $20.
- Hobby painters looking for large watercolor sets, miniature brushes or bulk acrylic and pour paint.
- Resin crafters who want a starter epoxy or silicone mold kit with clearly listed mix ratios and cure times.
Think twice if you expect easy returns. Sending items back to China at your own cost, plus the no-refund rule on sale items, makes a return expensive.
