Aurzen Review: Portable Smart Projectors, Brightness Specs, Shipping Limits and Warranty

Aurzen sells compact smart projectors and accessories through its own online store at aurzen.com, shipping from local warehouses to the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and much of the EU. Its US lineup runs from about $140 for the pocket-size EAZZE E1R to $350 for the brighter BOOM mini and EAZZE D1 MAX, with the new ZIP Pro tri-fold projector on pre-order at $629.99. Shipping is free on every order, but the store does not deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, US territories, military addresses or, unusually, Rhode Island.

This review covers the range, the specs that matter most when comparing Aurzen models, prices, shipping, the 30-day return and warranty terms, and the offers listed on the site.

What Aurzen sells

The US store lists around 35 products. About half are projectors; the rest are accessories built for them.

• EAZZE series. Compact smart projectors: the E1R mini with Roku TV (under 1 lb), the D1 with Netflix, YouTube and Prime Video built in, the D1R and D1R Cube with Roku TV, the D1R air and D1 air with USB-C power, the D1G with Google TV, and the larger D1 MAX with Google TV.
• BOOM series. The BOOM air and BOOM mini, both with Google TV and a 110° adjustable stand.
• ZIP series. The ZIP tri-fold, a pocket projector that folds into a small block and runs on a built-in battery, and the new ZIP Pro with a larger battery and native 1080p, including a Jean-Michel Basquiat special edition bundle.
• Accessories. Carrying cases, stands (including the PowerBase stand with a battery), ceiling and wall mounts, replacement remotes, a 120-inch foldable screen, a lens attachment, the CastPlay Pro USB-C wireless dongle and a Tesla Model Y in-car screen.

Specs to compare: brightness, resolution, power and apps

Aurzen's product pages list the numbers you need, but they vary a lot between models that look similar in photos. These are the ones to check:

• Brightness (ANSI lumens). The ZIP is rated at 100 ANSI lumens, the D1G at 200, the D1R at 280, the D1R air at 300, the BOOM mini at 500 and the D1 MAX at 1,000. Below about 300, plan on a dark room and a modest picture size; the D1 MAX is the only model here aimed at rooms with some ambient light.
• Native resolution. Most EAZZE and BOOM models are native 1080p, and several say 4K input is "supported," which means they accept a 4K signal but display it at 1080p. The ZIP is native 720p with 1080p input supported. The ZIP Pro moves to native 1080p.
• Built-in apps. Roku TV models (E1R, D1R, D1R air, D1R Cube) and Google TV models (D1G, D1 MAX, BOOM air, BOOM mini) can stream without a separate stick. The ZIP has no built-in apps: it mirrors a phone, tablet or laptop, and the page says streaming services such as Netflix may need a compatible accessory. Google Cast phones such as Pixels are listed as incompatible with the ZIP's mirroring.
• Power. The ZIP has a 5,000 mAh battery rated for up to 1.5 hours. The BOOM air and D1R air take USB-C power, and the BOOM air supports 65W power banks. The BOOM mini and D1 MAX are plug-in only.
• Size and weight. The ZIP weighs 280 g (9.9 oz); the BOOM air 1.23 kg; the BOOM mini 2.14 kg (4.7 lb).
• Mounting. The D1 MAX needs a ceiling mount with four M5 screws (not included) and has no standard 1/4-inch tripod thread on the bottom.

Shipping

Aurzen's shipping policy says shipping is free on all orders, with items sent from US, EU and other local warehouses by DHL, USPS, UPS or FedEx. Delivery takes 3–7 business days, while pre-order items such as the ZIP Pro ship when stock arrives; the page gave an estimated start date of October 30.

• Countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia and 23 EU countries.
• US exclusions: Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, the Marshall Islands, all Armed Forces (APO) addresses and Rhode Island.
• Address changes: not possible once the order ships, so double-check before paying.
• Lost or damaged: report a damaged package with photos or video within 7 days of delivery, and a lost package within 7 days of the expected delivery date.

Returns and warranty

Cancellations. You can cancel for a full refund within 24 hours of ordering by emailing support@aurzen.com. After 24 hours and before delivery, the store charges a transaction fee of 2.6% for card payments or 3.6% for PayPal.

30-day returns. The warranty page describes a 30-day return for any reason: undamaged products bought on aurzen.com can be returned for a full refund within 30 days of purchase, with all accessories. Bundles that include discounted or free items can only be refunded as a whole order, bulk orders of more than 10 units may not be refundable, and you pay the shipping cost for returns that are not caused by a defect. For quality issues, the return policy offers a full refund or exchange within 30 days of delivery. Refunds go back to the original payment method in about 3–7 business days.

Warranty. The warranty table lists 24 months for the EAZZE D1 and 12 months for the other projectors and all accessories. Registering on the Extend Warranty page adds another year, which is why product pages show "1+1 Year Warranty." Covered defects may be fixed with a factory-refurbished replacement of equal value, the warranty applies only in the country of purchase, and claims expire 90 days after you open them.

Who should buy from Aurzen

• Casual viewers who want a compact projector with Roku TV or Google TV built in for a bedroom or dorm.
• Travelers and campers who value a pocket-size, battery-powered option like the ZIP and accept its lower brightness.
• Gift buyers looking at the $140–$250 range, where free shipping and the 30-day return help.

Think twice if you want a bright living-room projector for daytime viewing, need native 4K, or live in Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, a US territory or at a military address.

Aurzen coupon codes

The site displayed several offers at the time of checking, and we list only what was shown on aurzen.com:

• Seasonal codes shown on individual product pages (auto-applied at the time of checking); these change often, so check the product page and cart
• 8% off ZIP Pro pre-orders, not combinable with other codes and not valid on the Basquiat bundle
• 5% off a first order for newsletter sign-up
• An education discount page and a corporate purchase program
• A price match and a 30-day price guarantee, which refunds the difference if a qualifying retailer sells the same item for less during your return period (percentage-off promotions and bundles are excluded)

These offers can change quickly, so confirm the total in the cart. Any working offers we find are listed on our Aurzen coupons page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Aurzen legit?

Aurzen runs its own store with published shipping, return, warranty and price-match policies, a US phone line (+1-667-218-4830, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm EST) and support email addresses for North America and Europe. Its about page does not give a headquarters address, founding year or parent company, and we did not see customer reviews on its product pages.

Does Aurzen ship to all US states?

No. The shipping policy excludes Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, US territories and Armed Forces addresses. Everywhere else in the US gets free shipping in 3–7 business days.

Can the Aurzen ZIP play Netflix?

Not on its own. The ZIP has no built-in apps and works by mirroring a compatible device. The product page says a streaming accessory may be needed for services such as Netflix or Disney+.

How long is the Aurzen warranty?

Twelve months for most projectors and accessories and 24 months for the EAZZE D1, plus an extra year if you register the product on Aurzen's Extend Warranty page.

Who pays for an Aurzen return?

You pay return shipping when sending back an item you simply do not want. For quality-related problems, Aurzen handles the refund or exchange under its quality and warranty terms.

The bottom line

Aurzen offers a wide choice of small smart projectors at $140 to $350, with free shipping, a 30-day return window and an optional extra warranty year. Match the brightness and native resolution to your room before you buy, budget for return postage if you might change your mind, and check that your address is not on the delivery exclusion list.
