ALDO Review: Boot Sizing, Calf Measurements, Prices, Shipping and Return Fees

ALDO sells fashion footwear, handbags and accessories for women and men through its US website and stores. Its boots are the headline category this time of year: full-price women's boots mostly cost $140 to $198, men's boots $140 to $175, and handbags around $60 to $70, with a large share of the catalog marked down.
This review covers what ALDO sells, how its sizing and boot measurements work, prices, shipping and a return policy that is cheap in store but charges $5.95 for mailed returns, with final-sale clearance and in-store-only exchanges.
At a glance Checked October 2026
ALDO suits shoppers who want on-trend boots, shoes and bags at mid-range prices and live near a store, where returns are free and exchanges are handled. Boot pages list shaft height, calf circumference and heel height, which makes online sizing easier than at many fashion brands. Clearance is final sale.
- Best for: Women's tall, ankle and wide-calf boots, men's Chelsea and lace-up boots, and affordable handbags.
- Typical price: Women's boots $140–$198 at full price (up to $350); men's boots $140–$175; handbags about $60–$70.
- Shipping: Free standard over $99 after discounts; otherwise $8.95. Free ship-to-store. No Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or PO boxes.
- Returns: 30 days from purchase, unworn with tags and box; free in store, $5.95 deducted for mailed returns.
- Watch out for: Exchanges are in store only, clearance is final sale, and orders cannot be changed or canceled once placed.
What ALDO sells
The US site is organized into New, Women, Men, Bags, Accessories, Sale and a Boot Shop. When we checked, the collections included:
- Women's boots (about 420 listings): knee-high, over-the-knee, ankle, Western, riding, combat, slouch and snow styles, plus wide-calf versions of some tall boots, marked "WC" in the name.
- Men's boots (about 230 listings): Chelsea, lace-up, zip ankle and Western-inspired boots, mostly in leather and suede.
- Shoes: heels and sandals for women, and loafers, oxfords, dress shoes and sneakers for men.
- Handbags (500+ listings): crossbody bags, shoulder bags, totes, satchels, clutches and wallets.
- Accessories: jewelry, hair accessories, sunglasses, gloves and shoe care.
Many boots and shoes are tagged with Pillow Walk, ALDO's name for its dual-density foam and padded insoles.

Sizing, boot measurements and materials
ALDO's size chart covers women's US 5 to 13 and men's US 7 to 14, with UK and EU conversions and foot lengths in inches and centimeters (for example, women's 7 is listed at 9.4 inches and men's 10 at 10.7 inches). Some women's boots are also offered up to size 14. Half sizes depend on the style: many women's boots come in 6.5, 7.5 and 8.5 but skip 9.5, and men's boots often include 7.5, 9.5 and 10.5. ALDO's advice is to size up if you are between sizes or one foot is larger.
The useful part for boot shoppers is the product detail. Tall boot pages we read listed:
- Saphiria ($225): smooth leather, standard calf, 14.5-inch shaft, 13.5-inch calf circumference, 3-inch heel, full side zip with a hidden stretch back panel.
- Saphiria-wc ($225): the wide-calf version, with a 14.5-inch shaft and a 14-inch calf circumference, measured on a size 6 and adding 0.5 inch for each size up.
- Purdie ($225): suede leather, standard calf, 15-inch shaft, 14-inch calf, 3-inch stiletto heel, full-length zipper and Pillow Walk insoles.
Two points stand out. First, the gap between ALDO's standard and wide-calf versions of the same boot was only half an inch at size 6, so measure your calf rather than assuming wide calf will be roomy enough. Second, ALDO's boot fit guide offers standard, wide and extra-wide calf options, and states that wide calf refers only to the shaft, not the width of the foot. The size chart has no adult width columns, and the men's boot pages we read did not list a width or shaft height.
Product pages list materials for upper, lining and sole. The boots we checked had leather or suede uppers, synthetic linings and rubber soles. ALDO says it uses a range of skins, tanning methods and treatments and refers detailed questions to customer service.

Prices
Prices are in US dollars. Across the collections we checked:
- Women's boots: full prices from about $65 to $350; half fell between $140 and $198, with a median of $170.
- Men's boots: $100 to $260, with half between $140 and $175.
- Handbags: about $18 to $105, most around $60 to $70.
- Examples: Haverly suede ankle boot $160; Haverton suede knee-high $198; Amelle over-the-knee boot $250; men's Bert leather Chelsea boot $165; Constantine cap-toe boot $175; Todi square-toe ankle boot $200.
Discounts are common. About half of the boots in each collection showed a reduced price, and nearly all of the handbags we sampled did. ALDO does not offer price adjustments if an item goes on sale after you order. Payment options include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and Klarna.
Shipping
All US orders ship with FedEx, Monday to Friday, with no weekend delivery.
- Ship to Store: free, 3 to 4 business days. You have 28 days to pick up, with ID and your confirmation.
- Standard: $8.95, 4 to 5 business days; free on orders over $99 after discounts and before tax.
- Express: $24.95, 2 to 4 business days.
- Not available: Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, APO/FPO and PO box addresses.
Orders cannot be changed or canceled once placed, including address corrections, and items from one order may arrive in separate packages. ALDO says weekend orders are processed within the next two business days.

Returns, exchanges and warranty
- Window: 30 days of purchase. The policy does not say whether this counts from the order or delivery date.
- Condition: not worn, soiled, washed or damaged, in original packaging with all tags and a valid receipt.
- Cost: in-store returns are free. Mailed returns of online orders cost $5.95 per order, deducted from the refund. You can also drop items at a Happy Returns location with a QR code, without a box or label.
- Exchanges: in store only; online orders cannot be exchanged by mail.
- Final sale: final-sale and clearance items (clearance prices ending in .97) cannot be returned or exchanged. Hosiery, earrings, hair accessories, insoles, socks, laces and shoe care are also non-returnable.
- Refunds: to the original payment method; allow up to 14 days for processing. The FAQ adds rules for buy-now-pay-later and PayPal orders returned in store, so check them if you pay that way.
- Defects: contact customer service within 6 months of purchase. Manufacturing and material defects qualify; normal wear and misuse do not.
Product pages advertise "free returns," which is true in store but not by mail, where the $5.95 fee applies. Store purchases can only be returned in store.
Who should buy from ALDO
- Boot shoppers who want measurements, since tall boot pages list shaft height, calf circumference and heel height.
- Wide-calf shoppers willing to compare the listed calf measurement with their own.
- Shoppers near an ALDO store, who get free returns and the only exchange option.
- Bag buyers on a budget looking for trend styles under $100.
Look elsewhere if you need wide shoe widths, live in Alaska or Hawaii, or want to return a clearance purchase.
ALDO coupon codes
We only list savings we can verify. On the site, those were free standard shipping on orders over $99, free ship-to-store, and a 15% welcome offer for new email or SMS subscribers, valid for 30 days, usable on regular sale items but not on final sale, shoe care or gift cards. An extra percentage off clearance was running when we checked, but those items are final sale. ALDO's Crew loyalty program ended on July 8, 2026, and codes cannot be stacked. Any working offers we find are listed on our ALDO coupons page.
Frequently asked questions
Does ALDO run true to size?
ALDO does not give a general fit note. It recommends sizing up if you are between sizes, and half sizes vary by style. Check the foot length in the size chart.
Are ALDO wide-calf boots much wider?
On the pair we compared, the wide-calf Saphiria-wc listed a 14-inch calf against 13.5 inches for the standard Saphiria, both at size 6. Compare the measurement on each product page with your own calf.
Can I exchange ALDO shoes I bought online?
Only in a store. By mail you can return for a refund, minus $5.95, and place a new order.
Does ALDO ship to Alaska or Hawaii?
No. ALDO does not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses.
The bottom line
ALDO is a practical choice for fashion boots and bags at mid-range prices, and its boot pages give more measurements than most, including shaft height and calf circumference. The rules favor store shoppers: returns are free and exchanges are possible only in store, while mail returns cost $5.95 and clearance is final. Measure your calf, check the foot length chart, and buy at full or regular sale price if you are unsure of the fit.
